About 3 years ago I purchased a 48x19 ironing board because I like the size and I have been running myself ragged trying to find a replacement cover and pad as the pad that came with the board is ultra thin. This item is not only a perfect fit but it is made of very sturdy material and the pad is nice and thick. And from the prices I have seen for smaller covers at places like Bed, Bath and Beyond, this is definitely a bargain!

The Columbia Thunderstorm II pant is an acceptable waterproof, breathable pant available at a modest price. Yet, it has a couple of design elements that may not be appealing to some individuals. Specifically, the pant is oversized with large boot-cut bottoms that make the pant more suitable as a second layer. Additionally, instead of pockets, there are two slits that expose what is beneath (e.g. skin) to the elements. Hence, the product NOT really designed for bicycling unless the rider has cycling shorts underneath and ankle bands.

Considering that a breathable, waterproof pant can cost several hundred dollars, a reviewer must take the modest price of this pant into account. Yet, two of the somewhat undesirable design elements have little to do with the cost. The pant legs bottoms are very large, perhaps designed for large winter boots or even ski boots. They are awkwardly large for bicycling or even casual use. Moreover, normal pockets instead of slits would be helpful. Exposing the underlying skin to the cold and precipitation is not pleasant.

In terms of quality, this pant has somewhat thin fabric that can tear relatively easily. The lightweight, flexible outer shell may appeal to certain users but I personally would prefer something more rugged. Also, there are limits to its level of waterproofing. In a torrential downpour, some water still gets through.

If you are financially constrained and intend to uses this pant over another layer of clothing, the Columbia Thunderstorm II pant may be an acceptable choice. Yet, if you need a breathable rain pant to be used as a standalone garment, you might want to consider alternatives, especially if the flared pant legs don't suit your particular needs.

This jacket is great. I hiked MT washington and it rained for the 2 days this jacket kept me dry. This is not a warm jacket just a rain parka. I ordered size medium and I ussually wear a size 10-12 this actaully had extra room great if your wearing layers under it. The hood is great and pull strings stay tight. Great price and great jacket! I got the Bamboo color and Love it!

Very light weight. I was hoping it would be softer inside but its like a typical rain jacket... a little scratchy feeling. The colors are amazing. Looks great with jeans. The jacket advertises all this stuff about how it is so breathable and you dont feel sweaty in it. It's better than usual but you still feel a little sticky in it after a long period of wear. Great zippers under the arms to let in some air though.

I have a Vizio 32" tv and of course the sound is weak so I purchased the VSB200 sound bar. I expected great sound, but am disappointed. The sound is certainly an improvement over the tv, but the bass is pretty weak. I have boosted the bass from the tv but that did not help. They say the bass response is down to 60 Hz, but I don't believe it. It can't be heard at normal listening volumes. I am looking for full sound so may have to buy the sub woofer.

Let me say this first, I doubt we will ever (and if we do, it won't be for a while) be able to truly replicate "surround sound" from a single speaker. That being said, this Vizio sound bar is a fantastic way to get close & for a good price. When my girlfriend first told me about the sound bar she had, I was skeptical. I mean, it's one speaker, how much of a difference can it be? But, when I bought a new LCD TV, I wasn't at all impressed with the TV's speakers, so I sought out other alternatives. That's when I finally decided to try out the Vizio Sound Bar. And I was blown away. Like I said, it is not going to hit you like true surround sound. . . but, you will be amazed and how close it does get. You still get those "off-center" sounds that make your ears prick up to the left or right, just like in the theatre. The sound is crisp, clear, and powerful. It has many settings depending on what you're doing, and really makes a great sound for any setup.

For most, the main benefit is the size. All though it's long, you can either place it in front of the TV below the screen, or mount it on the wall above/behind your TV. I went for the latter, and love it (even though it sometimes obstructs the TV's remote signal).

For gamers. . . it's almost as good as Turtle Beach headsets.

Definitely check it out.

I purchased this mic the first week it came out. It lasted about 2 weeks before the cable came loose from the base of the mic.

BTW, the cable is attached to the mic. It is not an XLR to mini cable. I knew this going in, so it was not an issue for me, but some folks might want to have that information repeated.

I sent it back, partial refund because the instructions were not included in the return. (as if they were going to turn around and sell a broken mic. hmm...)

I bought a new one. This one was a dud out of the box. Just didn't work.

I sent THAT one back, and thought it had to be a coincidence...that I just had the bad luck of having the only two defective mics from the lot. Wishful thinking.

The third one lasted about 10 days. I sent it back and obviously will not be purchasing this mic (or any other hardware) from IK until their hardware department shows as much promise as their software department does.

Here are three things that I understand about this mic, and want to just say in fairness to the company:

1) I am a professional singer/songwriter. I use my iPad a lot on stage, and was hoping to use this mic on stage with the iPad. That didn't happen, because none of them lasted long enough for me to rehearse a decent performance with the mic, but I did try to get it to work for a performance, which meant that I used the mics every day for several hours...sometimes on a stand, sometimes hand held. So, I might not be the target end user of this mic. The target end user might be a casual singer, or someone who bought the mic because they had to have the latest iPad gadget, but never uses it, I don't really know. But I *do* know that the target end user is not a professional musician.

2) The mic is under 60 dollars. There are no "pro" mics on the market that are 60 dollars new. If you are singing into a 60 dollar mic, you are either at karaoke, or it was purchased used. I recognize this as a limiting factor to the quality and longevity of a mic. But when the longest lasting mic of 3 is around 2 weeks...well, you get what you pay for usually. In this case, I got much less than I paid for. In essence, I rented what amounts to a Radio Shack mic for 2 weeks for 60 dollars.

3) During the short time that the mics worked, they worked pretty well as a unidirectional mic. Outside noises were kept at a minimum, and mainly the voice that was directly behind the mic was the only one heard. There are three quite confounding setting on this mic: 1) completely and utterly inaudible, 2) I can almost hear what you are saying, could you speak up slightly?, and 3) OMG STOP SCREAMING AT ME!!! when the person holding the mic is barely whispering on the "higher" setting. In some applications, there were ways to modulate the output of the mic, but on less sophisticated apps, this mic was useless.

I agree with other users. The onboard mics for the iPad/pod/phone are at least as good as this mic, maybe better. No need to get another mic. At least not until the cables come apart from the mic, so they can be replaced without replacing the entire mic. I'm looking forward to seeing their G2 of this mic.

I was skeptical of the mic when I first ordered it but upon arrival I was very impressed! It sounds great on voice, guitar cabs, and drums!!! I was blown away by the clarity and ease of use. The "free" apps are available without purchasing the mic but you really need to download the full app to experience the best that this mic can offer.

Great microphone.....And love the app associated with it for the iPhone/iPad but the wiring on this microphone is horrible.

I've had problems with it since day 1 and the jack that plugs into the iPhone or iPad is very cheaply made and takes some tweaking to get it sound correct.

Absolutely love the actual microphone but the cabling needs some work.

I bought my Samsung 940BW from a local electronics center. I would also like to share what I know about it since items I bought from Amazon has always met my satisfaction owing to the good reviews I read about them here.

Everything that the other reviewers found very good about the Samsung 940BW is true. It's display is tack sharp from corner to corner. It is unbelievably thin yet hefty, too. I was originally looking for the 940N model (4:3 aspect) not the wide screen but now that I saw how the 940BW performs, I wouldn't have it any other way. This LCD display is worth every penny you pay for it in terms of performance, good looks and bang for the buck.

There is only one very, very important catch to have all these benefits from your 940BW: Your computer system must be able to display a resolution of 1400 x 900 pixels and 60Hz the native format of the 940BW. Just like what the other reviewer said. LCD 101: Use the 1400x900 format. This is the key. Let me break this down into question-and-answer.

Question 1: How do I know that my computer can handle 1400x900 pixels?
Answer 1: Here's one way that worked for me. In your present setup, go to your system display properties. Look for the slider that changes your screen resolution. Move it towards the right. If it can go to 1600x1200 and beyond, then your system can handle 1400X900. My maximum before I hooked up the 940BW was 1600x1200, 85Hz. After I hooked it up display properties magically changed this maximum value to 1400X900, 75Hz all by itself, without me doing anything else! My 80.xx-series nVidia drivers, GeForce4 MX 128MB video card and Windows XP Home identified it as Samsung SyncMaster automatically. I am using the native format of 1400x900 but at 75Hz (instead of 60Hz.)

Question 2: How would my images and digital pictures appear at this 1400x900 format? Would not this widescreen format distort the images?
Answer 2: This is the beauty of the 940BW on its native resolution of 1400x900. It will not distort your images! My square digital pictures (800x800) appeared exactly square on the LCD. Whatever size your images are, that's the way they will occupy space on the desktop. Everything (icons, MS Office elements, etc...) will be the correct size, too. You will gain genuine pixel real estate, not interpolated space.

Question 3: Can it also support other resolutions?
ANswer 3: Yes it can, but the look and feel suffers. In my system the LCD display properties can go from 800x600 to 1400x900 with about half a dozen other incremental resolutions in between. At any resolution other than 1400x900 I noticed any of these or a combination of these:

* desktop, workspace and all elements therein appeared thin or squashed.
* icons have "doubles" around them. (ghosting)
* there is an empty black space on the desktop.
* images appeared stretched, either hozontally or vertically.

Question 4: How does the display elements look like on 1400x900 format compared to say, a 17" CRT monitor?
Answer 4: For me they look to be the same size as they were on my former 17" CRT at 1024x768. Icons are smallish (maybe an optical illusion because of the much larger screen of the 19" wide format) but not uncomfortably so. Just right. Tack sharp. Full colors. No ghosting or jaggies. If you set your display higher that 1400x900 (assuming it can) then the icons will appear even smaller and you might have to deal with the wrong aspect ratios again.

Question 5: Is this LCD any good for image editing?
Answer 5: That would depend on how picky you are. In a digital photography forum where I am a member there is a pro photog who uses two 940BWs side by side when editing images. There were many other serious photography enthusiasts who recommend this LCD as alternative to more expensive (read U$1000+) LCDs. As with most LCDs, your impression of the brightness and hue of image on screen will shift with your viewing angle. Critical when image editing. This despite the generous 160degree viewing angle of the 940BW. When viewed exactly perpendicular to your line-of-sight, the images are correctly rendered for image fine tuning. I use this LCD for image editing myself and I can work with this limitation easily. For MS Office work and movies, this issue isn't even worth spending 5 seconds to think about.

Question 6: There was mentioned in harware forums the issue of LCD backlight on the bottom and top of the screen. What's up with this?
Answer 6: I am not from Samsung but I can say that this is not a defect. I think this is a naturally occurring phenomenon from the manufacturing of the LCD and does not affect it's performance. It's visible and even then, barely so, and only when your screen is totally black. If this was not mentioned in forums, I would have not bothered hunting for it since it isn't noticeable. But just so you know, it's there. This so called backlight is barely visible at the bottom and top, if you turn your screen totally black and look for it.

My unit came with adjustable stand allowing the LCD to be elevated a few cm and to tilt. The grey frame is subdued. It does not have any of those shiny logos to reflect light and annoy you. I have not tested this LCD for intensive games as I have a PS2 for that purpose. My video card can handle only analog so I can't say how it will perform on the digital output. But it's there when you need it.

This is such a fine LCD for the price offered. Unless you plan on spending more for a specialist LCD I highly recommend the Samsung 940BW. Just remember first to check your computer system for compatibility to 1400x900.

I didn't buy this product from Amazon but felt this a good place to review it as I shop Amazon all the time and get good info from these reviews.

Since I just got this monitor for Christmas, I can't speak from a lot of experience with it. However, I'm very happy with it so far. I did have to return the first one for exchange due to a "Stuck Pixel" that showed as a red dot on the screen. I tried running a few programs that cycle through the colors to try and unstick the pixel based on some things I read on the web, but they did not work. I exchanged the unit for another, and it works like a charm. Here's what I really like:

* It's crisp and bright
* Wide Screen Format is fantastic
* Has both VGA and DVI inputs and is selectable from the front panel. I've got a PC on the VGA port and the Mac using the DVI port with a Mini-DVI to DVI Adapter to use as a second monitor. The monitor comes with DVI and VGA cables. I was up and running in about the 5 minutes it took to unbox, plug in the connectors and attache the stand.
* The price is great.

For PC users, windows XP worked just fine with it, I didn't have to load any drivers from the provided CD.

For Mac Users, same deal...It just worked! ;) And since I was adding it as a second monitor to my Intel Based iMac, I simply went into to the System Preferences, opened Displays, turned off mirroring and configured to meet my preferences for the second display and I now have a lot more screen space to work with!

The only downside to this monitor that I could see, was that when playing a DVD in fullscreen mode, it doesn't compare to the monitor built into the iMac (which I'm not surprised). The video showed some signs of slight jaggedy lines on some portions of the video, kinda like you sometimes can see from highly compressed video coming off of satellite tv. This is not really a problem for me. Unless you are planning to watch full screen videos and are pretty picky, it shouldn't be a problem. Seems to work great for everything else. I'm not a big gamer, so I can't speak to it's suitability there.

I'd buy another and I'd recommend this monitor to others.

This is a perfect carrier for child and stuff. We love the sun shade. As others stated, the backpack compartment is a big hole, so more dividers would be nice, but that doesn't take away from the great item. We used it in NYC for 4 days and our little one never had a complaint. She did fall asleep in it, and this sometimes made her head look uncomfortable, but she didn't complain.

My husband and I selected this model for an early birthday present for him. We ordered the black color. Just and FYI... The model pictured is not what we received. The bag looks like the other colors except black, grey, and tan. This was not a big deal as I guessed that would happen. The deal breaker for this carrier (and the reason we had to return it) was its size. My husband is 6'3" and the fit of the carrier is too small for him. The chest clip in the front rests right under his neck. The torso adjustment also does not adjust to fit him properly. We tried every combination of adjustments and could not make it work.

The other thing he did not like is that this bag is designed for a lot of the weight to remain on your shoulders rather than your hips. What the description on Amazon does not say (that you can find on Kelty's website) is that this model is intended to be used for short trips like the farmer's market, short hikes, etc. If you want to do any extended trips, than this is not the right model.

In the end, my husband wants something that will fit him properly and take the weight off his shoulders like a camping backpack. We like Kelty products and found everything else about the carrier to be great. We decided in the end to return this and purchase the Kelty FC 3.0.


Kelty 20010016 Review by BH1

To start off, I was very happy with the Kelty TC 3.0 backpack. I read reviews and most of them were positive. Two gripes that people seemed to have were that the pack is uncomfortable and that the waist belt adjuster slips.

In using the pack I have found that while it's not the most comfortable, it is great for farmers markets, walking the streets, and casual use. The pockets are big enough to store what you need and the adjustments are pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

The problem that I had with this pack (and with a replacement that Kelty sent me) was with the waist belt adjustment. There is a pin that slides into specific holes on a verticle rail which is mounted on the lower front of the pack. This pin is not long enough. The end of the pin is rounded and what I found was that after any sort of wear on the aluminum rail (about a week of use for me with both packs) that pin will slip and the waist belt is now in the middle of your back.

Kelty told me that this is the first they heard about this. I mentioned that there were plenty of reviews on different sites detailing this problem. They then retracted and told me this is the first time they've heard of this happening without user error. I asked them what the common problems were and how I could remedy the situation but they didn't really have an answer other than, the pin isn't in all the way. The pin is spring loaded, it's either in or it's not. Just to be safe, I would double check the pin before every use but it didn't help.

They did send me a new pack and offered to upgrade me to another pack but all their child carrier packs use the same mechanism so I called Amazon and begged them to take the pack back even though it was past the return date. They obliged and I will now get something else.

Other issues that I've had are that if your child has curious hands then the sunshade is not staying on. The velcro is too tempting for little kids not to play with. The bottle holders will not hold a large water bottle because they're too shallow. These are minor gripes that might only take one star off, but they're worth mentioning because it's your money buying this item and you should know before you buy.

As an aside, some of the reviews that talk about the adjustment issue are no longer found on certain websites. Maybe a coincidence but I find it very odd that this is the case. The other thing was that after I told them the second pack did the same thing they wanted me to send the packs (the original and the replacement) back for a new one so their product designers could see them. They couldn't believe what I was saying could happen twice. After they were a week late in calling me back I told them that I didn't want a replacement and that Amazon would take the pack back. They no longer had any interest in the other pack. It didn't seem to me like they really wanted to review the problem.

The HDO system by Oakley is one of the best on the market. This Antix are polarized and works great into sunny days and cloudy days as well. The protection factor is 3 out of 4 (4 is not recommended for driving); therefore, if you are looking for the best UVA / UVB / UVC protection Oakley polarized is the best option on the market.
Specifically, Antix are a little big for small faces and fits wonderfully on medium to large faces. Great desing and perfect color combinations.

This girdle definitely works. I purchased it 6 weeks postpartum and was afraid it was too late for something like that to work, but it did and quickly.My stomach was flat after only a few weeks of wearing and I did not wear it to sleep. I ordered the medium and am 5'6" 125 lbs. It looked way too big when it arrived, but actually fit perfect. yes it does go up pretty high under chest but is very comfortable. Better than other products out there.

Don't like the somewhat "One size fits all," size selection that was offered. I don't believe I will receive the full benefit that was advertised. Softer bands around the legs would have been good. Because product can't be adjusted, and my weight is disproportioned; It fit snug around lower abdomen but loss in waist. I don't know maybe it's suppose to fit that way. Not necessarily bad mouthing product, but something to consider if you have similiar weight problem.

Yes this is a bummer to wear to some degree...which is why I didn't wear it right after my baby, but I finally gave it a shot after my belly insisted on staying put in its post pregnancy flabby stage and after wearing it for two weeks as often as I could, my belly literaly shrank before my eyes. Once I saw that it was no longer improving from wear, I stopped, but it was totally worth what I got out of it, and the little flap to use the restroom was much needed.

This is the cheapest price I've found on this item other sites wanted $150.00 - $225.00 for the remote alone or it only came with the whole system im so glad i checked here. I needed a spare for my mom now i dont have to worry about giving her mine all the time.

NO GMOs, good ingredients. I feel comfortable supplementing my infant's diet with this. The only drawback are the soy ingredients (oil and lethicin- but both are organic). I try my best to keep my children (and the rest of my family) away from soy because of the mal effects of soy phytoestrogens, but it is nearly impossible if using a manufactured food.

My son is 4 1/2 months old and is the most picky eater, I've tried many other formulas with no luck. This is the only one he likes. It seems to give him less gas too. I like the fact that it has more vitamins than most other formulas, except for the DHA, but I supplement the DHA by giving him 1/2 teaspoon every day in his bottle of pharmaceutical cod liver oil that contains no mercury. I use Nordic Children's DHA, and he doesn't seem to notice it's in his bottle.

I love this formula... so far, this is the only formula out there that is good for our little ones. no gmo, no anti-biotics, no harms of the chemical world...

the problem is: the powder is hard to dissolve on water...
when mixing, shaking the formula, it creates a lot of bubbles
